What do you think about people needing to pay to use public toilets?

I think it's unfair to people who don't have money or the rite kind & form of money in order to pay. Pay toilets are a good way for people to relive themselves outside of the bathroom in places they're not supposed to.

It’s a good way to remind you that if you can’t pay for whatever you need in order to be wherever you are, for as long as you are there, you have no business being there in the first place. You get what you pay for.

In 1969 March Fong eu allegedly smashed a public toilet to protest that pay toilets discriminate against women

How was that discrimination supposed to work?

Also, is it just me or is she studiously not looking too competent with the hammer, lest she appear unladylike or something?

Women have to squat to urinate

Maybe they should have pay urinals, make people pay to park in parking lots and pay to drive on roads.

Well my subjective opinion when I need to go is that I don't like it 'cause I don't like spending money, but when I look at things objectively with logic I can understand it perfectly. Keeping the toilets clean, buying the paper for those etc. costs and someone has to pay for it, so why not the customers? If it were "free" and owned by the city or something then the tax payers, including those that don't use them would be paying and the taxes would either increase or the money would be away from something else. If it's in a shopping mall or something then they would likely raise the prices of other things to cover for the cost of having bathrooms... as in those renting space for their business would have to pay bigger rent, so they might raise prices to cover the rent.
