I used to find the show really funny. :D But if a show like that came out now people with their over-the-top political correctness would deem it as offensive, even if the "funny foreigner" came from a fictional country like Balki did. :(

I loved that show back then. I thought Balki was really cute!

I didn't realize that show had lasted for so long. I had only seen a handful of episodes when I was little, but it always stuck with me.

That's what I thought too when I watched it.

I thought Larry was always patronizing to Balki. I found Larry annoying as well.

Balki's costume reminded me of Olympic marathon champion Spiridon Louis of Greece. Balki and Louis were both shepherds. I am really weird for thinking that. I was really into the Olympic Games at that time.

In Norway theres a show called "Mot i Brøstet" , it totally rips off PS :

Larry = Karl.....both have temper , both greedy stubborn & oppurtunistic

Balki = Nils......both childish , both get hung up in silly stuff

Then you have the MiB waffle express episode (rips off PSs bibki babkas cakes episode)

I remember this show! I think it might have been taken off the air in Australia before the show ended though, because I can only remember watching it when I was 7 or 8 and no later.

Bronson then went on to have a whacky performance in Stephen King's The Langoliers.
