I prefer to eat my hotdogs without a bun using a fork. I have difficulty keeping a hotdog in the bun when I'm biting into it.

I like them both ways depending on my mood and if the buns available are of good quality.

I have to limit myself in regard to my cured meats intake. If I didn't I would eating them more often that I should.

Years ago business travel would occasionally take me past a meat market that was known for its sausages and hot dogs (natural casing). My father asked me to buy 10 pounds of the hot dogs for him because he was going to host a picnic. The picnic didn't materialize and at the time, I lived several hours away from him. I ended up eating those hot dogs literally for breakfast, lunch and dinner for days. So much so, that I developed gout. Thankfully it resolved over time as it was very painful.

I just flat out don't like hot dogs period, I mean maybe I ate a lot of them when I was little without thinking but that's it
I don't know how the hell it could be considered food to me. Sausages and bratwurst are on a higher tier and I will occasionally eat those but when I see hot dogs, I think of little tikes play-foods accompanied with play dough. I'm thinking "You're supposed to eat those...what???"
I get weird looks at picnics when I refuse them, but I don't care. (Baloney exactly the same thing too)

Hmm, where I come from, a hotdog is the whole thing, meat and bread together, so you cannot have a hotdog without the bread.

Otherwise, you'd just be eating a saveloy.

I prefer them with buns unless they're in something like baked beans then I wouldn't want to have bread mixed in.

No, definitely with the bun.

And I definitely prefer 'grillpølse' or sliced 'kjøttpølse' to wiener! Actually, I am unlikely to eat one if i can only have wiener. I just don't like it anymore, although it was okay in a pan dish we used to have but that was discontinued.

My favorite is a "Polish Dog" with onions, mustard, saurkraut, and a dab o'ketchup on a whole-wheat bun.

Those 'real' hotdogs that come ten to a pack? BLECH! :eew:

Even before I went gluten-free, I was known to have a burger or hot-dog/sausage without a bun. Especially if we had mac 'n' cheese, two bunless hot dogs on the side.

Sometimes I feel like buns are easier, but now that I've been bunless for so long, eating a burger with a gluten-free bun is very strange to me.

Allegedly, Oscar Mayer's wieners are uncured, now.

At least the ones I bought all said "uncured" on them. They taste a little different.

When I was younger, I ate hotdogs without the bun,I just ate them like hotdogs on a stick, I made hotdogs with buns too. One of my best memories was at the mall with my mom, we ate mall food, we had hotdogs, I think alot of stuff was on it, onions, ketchup & more. I guess she felt bad for me,cuz I didn’t have friends to hangout with. I also had hotdogs & beans & pigs in a blanket. My fave food were hamburgers & hotdogs, hamburgers was my fave, cuz of that guy in Popeye, the guy who loves eating hamburgers.
