The reason I bring this up is to share and read bad experiences from the Interwebz. On several occasions, people would call me names for voicing my opinions, such as support for Socialism, women, abortion, separation of church and state, and other things. Ultimately, though, I laugh because they and their "infinite wisdom" shot themselves in the foot and still acted like they won. I'll get more into it later. Most of them are political posts that I got crap from, but enough about me. What are some of your stories?

When you talk about your own opinions about touchy subjects you have to remember that there are going to always be people out there whose primary existence is to be complete trolls or say moronic things. Like one time not long ago I said on Facebook how all the negativity about vaccinations was a load of nonsense, and asked people if seeing their child getting pertussis and coughing so hard they vomit constantly or break ribs or drown in their own mucus is worth all the "dangers" of getting a shot, and then somebody told me the government is deliberately giving us ineffective vaccines which is the real reason why whooping cough has become more common, and that you can cure it right away by taking vitamin A.

I decided there was no point in arguing any further. People believe what they want to believe whether it's true or not. But how it makes my body hurt all over just thinking about people like that.

I had problems on one forum cuz I kept posting about my depression & other members thought I was posting for attention & to argue with them. I may of looked like that but posting helped me analyze things & sort things out. I started having my post trolled & decided it was time to leave.

On one forum I let it slip that I had Aspergers and 3 or 4 of the conspiracy nuts on the forum started making a big deal out of it like assuming that I have absolutely no idea what sarcasm is and they just called my delusional whenever I said something they disagreed with (which was often because it was a conspiracy theory forum and I am not a conspiracy theorist). I later figured out that they were trolls and most of them are now on my ignore list. You kind of get used to being insulted when you go to the flat earth society and conduct easy repeatable experiments that prove conclusively that Earth is round.

I don't think I've had a really bad internet experience, even though the internet makes up 75% of my life. I've been bullied online before, but at the same time it wasn't as bad when I was in school. I'd mostly be bullied for my inconsistant typos, since I'm not the greatest at spelling or grammar. I feel with the ineternet its easier to avoid people, depending on the website and context of the situation.
