Saw Deadpool 2 in a theatre downtown before it's gone because I know a stuntman from the beach who's in it and I wanted to see his scene.

Went to the Jack White concert at Rogers Arena with one of my brothers and his friends - score for $20 tickets he got on "national concert day," when Ticketmaster (or Livenation?) sold tickets to dozens of shows for $20 each.

Went to my cousin's Great Gatsby themed wedding on Saturday night and it was pretty cool.

Gonna go see the Ben Harper (and some other act?) concert on Thursday night - more $20 tickets.

Chances are with the end of the Summer approaching there'll be something else that comes up by the weekend lol. Considering going to the Merkules (local rapper, only one with talent that I'd wanna see as I don't listen to rap music) on my birthday next month.. buuuut, maybe not. Time will tell. I might just hangout with family or go to the beach.

Not planning to go to any other concerts unless it's a free one at the PNE mmmmaaaaybe since our Union members get free admission on Labour Day.

Other than that I really need to set aside time to go take motorcycle riding lessons before the Summer weather is gone.. annnnnd typically working 7 days a week right now, too. Summer is always the busiest. Just had a few bdays, and there's another one in a couple weeks.

Soooooooo many social obligations for a guy who typically only goes one place besides home and work, and that's the beach... buuuuuuuut, its Summer, so, life happens.

I just want to take a moment to reflect on this list and smile rn as I type this :) No Way in a MILLION YEARS would I have been able to do THIS 6 years ago - or think I ever could. But, this is my life now. And I turn down all kinds of invitations to wild parties, to go kiteboarding with the kite fam in Squamish, and keep so busy I don't see my God kids/nephews very often unless they happen to be at my house visiting my parents. I'm not posting this to brag. I'm posting it as a real life snapshot of what my typical last couple weeks of August look like now because the things I do (diet/natural medicine etc) truly enable me to do these things & live my life like this. That's what I want to point out.

Meh. There’s a particular forum member that comes to mind who complains he can’t get dates, so about a dozen people give him great advice as to what he can do to improve himself and his chances, and then he opts to try exactly none of the advice he’s given by people on the spectrum who are more socially and sexually successful.. so, why exactly should I or others conceal the fact that we have active sex lives? It’s not like no one here, myself included, hasn’t tried to help others out with real world workable advice in order to help lift them up to closer to where we’re at.

It's mainly, I think, that boasting is a bit self-centred, whatever you're boasting about be it sex, money, physical size, intelligence or how many drinks you can handle.

Also, a person who is confident in themselves has no need to boast.
So it kind of undermines your image, in a way.
Does that make sense?

You think I’m boasting, my perception is that I’m just telling it the way it is, matter of factly. It is what it is kind of thing.

I workout and eat well; I’m fit. I get laid. I spend time, not money, so I have some money. I go do social things. I kiteboard. I’m going to ride a motorcycle and buy one next year. I drive a brand new car. Etc. I’m not depressed and things aren’t going terribly so I don’t have a lot to complain about. These are just the facts of my life, no embellishments, nothing extra special.

Have you ever considered that the feelings you feel when people are constantly complaining about how bad things are...

...can be equal or greater than the feelings felt when people constantly spout about how good things are?

It goes both ways.

You say you are just outlining your life how it is, but so are those people whose lives are not so great.

Personally I don't mind your irrepressible take on life, I'm sure it works well for you on the scene that you are in.
Take it to the beach .... all day long!
