Does anyone have a recommendation for super soft towels that don’t end up scratchy after a few washes? I hate the slippery film of fabric softener, but also hate that most towels start getting scratchy after a short time.

I’m new. I’m sorry if this post would have been better placed elsewhere. I thought about it for too long before eventually posting here. Thanks. :)

I find new towels tend to be scratchy & they get more smooth as they get washed/used/worn a bit.

Thank you both.

The bamboo ones do seem nice in the store!

When it comes to cotton, it does seem like some get fluffier, but others get scratchier. And I can never figure out which way it will go when buying new.

How about trying used towels at the thrift store?
