Having a LD is not saying your dumb

I wish most people were intelligent enough to realise if you say you could well have a learning difficulty you are not making out you are dumb. It's even possible to be gifted with a learning difficulty.

I am kinda dumb partly due to my dyslexia & similar learning issues & having Aspergers on top of it. I certainly am not gifted in any area. I'm ret*d compared to my peers in most things & I don't have any of the stereotyped Aspie strengths/talents/special skills because my learning disabilities cancel them out.

I knew a boy at school who had learning difficulties but was rather intelligent in other things. He struggled with reading, writing and math and he needed extra help to help him catch up. But in classes like wood work and art he was brilliant and got A's without any help. He was also rather knowledgeable in science, he was good at memorizing interesting science facts once he learnt them.
Oh, and he was brilliant on the piano too.
