Any technical people on here that can tell me how to avoid captcha, a he stupid fftware that pops up every one and then to askb if we're not robots?

The thing is it doesn't even work, it keeps on and on asking me to identify pictures of buses or traffic lights. It never gets to the point where it allows me to verify. I don't get this on any other website, so I assume it's a software fault.

It does get me to verify but sometimes I have to go through 6 or 7 sets of pictures which can take 5 minutes or so. It is really frustrating when after all of that I find I made a typo and have to go through the whole process again.

So....great patience is needed?

It's not all the time, just now and then but annoying nonetheless.

Google just gave me one that looked just like the 1s I get on this forum. It took me a couple tries before Google let me search. For some reason it detected unusual traffic.

If you have NoScript or something installed, I find it works better if you (temporarily) enable as many scripts as possible. A lot of the Google scripts are responsible.

I assume that it flags you based on the words you use, because if I post something long and it triggers the captcha, I can break it into smaller bits and usually find the offending paragraph (though I don't have the patience or time to find the exact word or words).

I've had to turn one post into two posts before, just to get them to post...it's annoying, but what's the alternative?

That's such a pain. It's even worse than the old verification system in which you had to type certain word and number combinations.
