Just like calling 911 is for actual emergencies, not a number to call when you burned some popcorn. What Trump is doing is like if someone were to call 911 because they accidentally burned some popcorn.

So you think caravans of invading illegal aliens crossing the border and murdering American citizens for the heck of it isn't an actual emergency? Oh. My. God. Obama called for 13 of them. Clinton called for about 17 of them. Trump calls for one, and everyone goes berserk. Totally ridiculous and hypocritical.

A border wall isn't going to keep illegal aliens out. It is ineffective at doing such.

There is one issue that a wall will solve. The border is not clearly marked in some areas & people can cross the border without knowing it. I'm not gonna say where I stand on the immigration issue because I have mixed opinions. However I do believe that the border needs to be clearly marked; for immigrants coming into America & for Americans going into Mexico.

So, do you think that spreading scary stories somehow validates making rash decisions regarding the building of a monument to one man's inflated ego?

Caravans join up to provide innocent people protection from criminals and gangs. People sometimes murder other people, to be sure, but at no greater rate than Americans murder each other. To call immigrants murderers is a disgusting distortion of the truth.

In the same way, national emergencies aren't all equal. Trump wants a wall for political reasons, not because it's an emergency. It's because he played on the xenophobic fears of idiots during his campaign of hate, who want to blame immigrants for all their problems. Meanwhile, the Republicans are stealing trillions from our treasury, while you blame poor Honduran mothers for crime.

I'm NOT saying I support the wall(or saying I don't) but I will say if Trump had pushed this hard for it when the GOP had control of both chambers of congress, he would not of had to declare a national emergency to get it done. He's a moron for passing up his best shot.

Oh, he pushed for it alright; although he did declare that Mexico would pay for it. Maybe that's why the GOP members of Congress ignored him.

That could of been it. I think if he would of caused a government shutdown over it then, he likely would of got it.
