Personally I like a lot of female monsters, goddesses, and warriors. For example:

Amazons: The tribe of all-female warriors who bravely fought in battle in Greek Mythology.

Witches: Magical women who worked with nature and had powers. I like both good and evil witches.

Lilith: A figure in Jewish mythology who was the first wife of Adam who defied her husband and God and ran away from Eden and became a female demon that preyed on children.

Lamia: The Greek Bogeyman, a woman turned into a monster with the lower body of a snake by the Goddess Hera after she caught her fooling around with her husband Zues. She was known to snatch up children and eat them.

Hestia: Greek Goddess of the hearth, domestic life and protector of the home. Unlike the others Gods she preferred not to cause problems for humans and was pretty kindly and made the home a warm and safe place for all.

Persephone: In Greek Mythology Wife of the God Hades and daughter of the Goddess Demeter. A nature goddess and queen of the dead who spends winter and fall in the Underworld with her husband and Summer and Spring with her mother Demeter.

Pele: Hawaiian Volcano Goddess known to have an explosive temper when she didn't get her way (kind of like me :P ).

Pixies: Tiny winged fairies that hang around flowers and mushrooms. Sometimes they were known to play tricks on humans.

Mermaids: Half women half fish. They swim in the ocean and were said to be curious about human men and would drag them into the sea and drown them unintentionally. Then they would shed tears that turned into pearls.

Sirens: Sea monsters in greek mythology that were either half-bird half-woman or half-fish (like a mermaid). They killed sailors by luring them to their island with enchanted singing voices.

Harpies: Half bird and Half woman, very cruel and sadistic monsters that were said to punish those who offended the Gods in Greek Mythology.

Succubi: Female sex demons who preyed on men in their sleep.

Onryo: Vengeful spirits in Japanese mythology, usually portrayed as ghostly women with long black hair wearing a white kimono or white dress (in Japan they would bury their dead in white).

I like Medusa. I like all the snakes that she had coming out of every follicle of her skin and the way that she blinded her serpents.

I think Lamia was cooler, and she had the tail of a snake and upper body of a beautiful woman so in a way she was like an evil mermaid. 8)
