Why did David Beckham get so much bad press for kissing his daughter harper on the lips?

As some sick minds don't see innocence any more

How old is Harper?

I believe he probably didn't deserve the bad press. I think the media overdoes it frequently.

But if she's above about 12 years old, people (usually ignorant) might get the wrong idea and sexualize it. Assume some sort of "ulterior motive" in this, or even assume some sort of "incestuous relationship."

Men are discouraged by society from showing affection towards their own children because people think they must have an evil perverse agenda behind it and we are on a witch hunt for pedophiles.

Also people tend to think that all pedophiles are men (or all men are pedophiles, I'm not sure) and that there is no such creature as a female child molester. So therefor only women are allowed to hug and kiss their children in public.

Gotta love double standards.

Because some families don't do it and some do.

There's this other guy called Tom Brady who's an American footballer or something (?) he goes beyond the line for me. I'm ok with parents kissing their kids on the lips but not with them kissing their kids on the lips when they're shirtless and asking for more than a peck and saying 'what do I get'.

But if all that Becks has done is kissing his daughter when fully dressed, a peck on the lips, so what? But for some families that isn't done or isn't done between the sexes or something.

Actually, the same was said about Victoria ( Davids wife ) when she posted a similar photo , no double standards when it comes to trolling the Beckhams

Why don’t people believe women can be pedophiles too?

Jerry Lewis used to kiss his kids on the lips on his TV show. Nobody made a fuss about it then.

Double standards. It's just like serial killers. People tend to think that female murderers are either rare or don't exist at all because there's more male killers who get caught. And yet there have been monsterous women murderers throughout history like Belle Gunness and Lizzie Borden.

Not that this really matters----but female murderers are less common than male murderers.

Still....murder is murder no matter who did it, and no matter how "common" it is.

Same with female pedophiles. They are less common than male pedophiles, but they still exist.

But because of that society has the wrong assumption that all women are harmless compared to men.

I really don’t think that society assumes that “all women are harmless.”

I certainly wouldn’t let a woman I don’t know personally watch my kid.

Sorry but I do believe that to be true with society. In Florida of all the hundreds of people executed on death row for murder only one or two of them were women. I think the statistics speak for themselves and society is usually more forgiving of crimes commited by women than they are crimes commited by men.

I don't want you to think I hate women or anything like that. I'm just pointing out a reality. Female serial killers and murderers is one of my special interests.

Men comprise the majority of judges who are so biased towards men that commit crimes and give them harsher sentences.
