How many days did it take for your WP account to reach veteran status? I think I reached it on the fourth day but I was not really paying that much attention...

I don't remember now. I began in 2016 and probably reached Veteran status in early 2017. Some days, my posting volume is quite high and, on others, when there is nothing to say, I make maybe one or two posts, usually on the "Replace With Cat" or another similarly light topic thread.

It took ages. I do a lot of lurking and end up not posting 90% of the stuff I write.

I don't remember. I didn't post much in the very beginning because I made a dear friend and spent most of my time on PM rather than the forum. My post count is high because I play a lot of word games and I post a lot of music. I try to avoid the contentious topics, and I don't respond ad nauseam to the same conversations and debates. I usually read the OP and skip the responses if they seem to veer off topic.

It took quite a while for me to reach 500.

But it took much less time for me to reach 1,000 and above.

For me, when I latch onto something new, I put all my attention into it. So I was posting and posting and posting... Then I start to slow down... Also, as the subjects in here were new to me I had lots of questions to explore. So maybe why I posted so many replies.

Its probably based upon number of posts, and not on the number of days that you have been a member.

Treuno has been a member longer than you, and it took him "forever" to get veteran status. And it took you just four days.

Just taking a wild guess ...the magic number is probably a 500 to achieve the status.

Years.

This account has been registered at 2011 and somewhat stopped somewhere before 300 or so posts.
I've only became more active around year 2015 or later. When I got active, it might've took me about weeks to reach the veteran status.

Oh dear... I hope I have not posted too much? I assumed most took just a few days to get there?

Everyone has their own reasons.

Some types and/or reads really slowly and has to think to consider posting anything really -- and it had nothing to do with being busy.
Many will not reply, not even a thanks, even being thankful for whatever they had stumbled upon.
Some, are quite cautious because they thought they are thread killers and had ruined the thread by just posting.

And there are many more why.

It takes 500 posts to become a veteran. Your average is 29.71 posts per day. So you probably became a veteran in about two weeks. No worries though. In your case quality is in keeping with quantity.

It may have been I have lost count of the days. Habe I really been here two weeks? It is like time has changed. Maybe it is longer then I thought. How do I find out?
