What are your religious beliefs?

My religious beliefs? I believe that religion is one of the greatest of evils ever inflicted upon humanity.

No religion for me. Not a big fan of mythology. Over time, religion has proven to cause more damage than it has good.

I belive WHAT IS REAL and NOTHING ELSE!

Although I would like to believe in reincarnation, so I know what will happen to me after I die.

why should one really have a belief. i don't have proofs of anything

I don't think having a religion is a bad thing.

I mean back in the middle ages life was tough. There were a lot of wars and famine and poverty and disease. People needed someone, someone who would promise a better life. Thats why many people turned to Christianity. It appealed to the poor or people who had tough lives because it promised a better life after death and there was a loving God who would forgive people of their wrongdoings.

Thats the reason why I think Christianity appeals to so many people in modern time. It gives people hope and faith and a loving God.



Of course thats my opinion.

I think people who think logically and more about science tend to be less religious.

Since many people with aspergers think more logically and less emotionally, they tend to be less religious.

when i read a bit at Hayadan i see that the writers do lack some kind of sensibility about what could be existed differently from their usual way of writing at the site

It still happens now, in the form of the brainwashing clan (missionaries). Going to the most vulnerable of countries suffering from poverty and starvation and filling their heads with false hope that something from the sky will come and save them. Not my idea of volunteering.

Better that those missionaries would go into those countries and teach the people proper sanitation, medical science, agricultural principles, reading, writing, arithmetic, and reason.

Instead, the missionaries seem to focus on teaching things that can not be measured or otherwise proven to be true.

In my opinion, the beliefs and values that come with religion aren't bad, but the way that certain people choose to practice and spread (and by spread, I mean forcing upon others) their religion is.

Also to quote Marx, Religion is the opium of the masses. So I do not have religious beliefs.

Well, Zen Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism were accepted by high class people, but I guess those count more as philosophies rather than religion, depending on who you talk to.

The poll has a very small selection. There should at least be an "other" option.

The jarring thing is that there are some countries where you also don't get an 'other' option.
