This thread reminds me of an old Nickelodeon comedy sketch that Kenan Thompson was in:

Great job posting this. I saw a couple eps of the old All That on Teen Nick a few weeks ago. I only saw the 1st & 3rd ep of the new series so far. I haven't seen these pea sketches in a while thou which is probably why I didn't think about em in this thread till now.

Ah yes, good ol' Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, and the rest of the gang. When he retired, Charles Schulz wondered where he would have been without them. :)

But the funny thing is, he *hated* the title Peanuts. He had wanted to name his comic "Li'l Folks" or "Good ol' Charlie Brown." For years his comic was called PEANUTS: Featuring Good ol' Charlie Brown, which I used to to see in the weekly strip on Saturdays (we don't get the paper on Sundays where I live). Back then they printed the whole comic on one page. The other comics were normally two on each page but they were still large enough that we didn't need a microscope to read them. But I digress.

When it it comes to real peanuts, I prefer peanut butter over whole nuts.
And the peanut is neither a pea nor a nut.
When I was a kid I never heard about anyone being allergic to peanuts. But by the mid-90's I started hearing about it all the time and wondered how anyone with such a terrible allergy was long for for this world. :(
