Those tags have GPS inside them. If you remove one from a mattress it will sound an alarm at the police station and they will come over to your house.

I know your post was probably in jest, but remove such tags as you see fit once you purchase the mattress.

I used to wonder about that myself....but then, I tore off the tag....and nothing happened!

It's illegal to remove except by the consumer.

NO...body expects....the Mattress Gestapo!! !! !!

You may have torn off tags with impunity a few times over the years. But there is always that first time, you remove the tag, and within minutes they break your door down!

It is meant for people who sell on, not regular consumers, agreed.

You do not get arrested but it puts you on a government watch list. Same if you open the wrong side of a carton of milk.

I'm curious about this myself. I seen a mattress consume people in the BAD horror movie, Death Bed; The Bed That Eats. Now I'm wondering how the other way around would work :chin:

There was a mattress that had a warning label that said "do not attempt to swallow."

jokin aside: the warnings are meant for the retail sellers of the mattresses, and not for the end buyers (ie 'the consumers").

They ought to take those labels off before the items being put in the retail market.

Its supposed to be there for the prospective buyer to see (like an expiration date on food in the grocery store).

But yes, the sales staff could take it off when they ring you up.But then...you might decide to return it. So they cant do that.

It's a conundrum!

If enough people remove the tags it’s soon followed by civil disobedience, riots, anarchy ensues then the total breakdown of all civilization.
