I usually wear the clothes depending on where I'm going or where I'm at. At home, I like wearing the most simple clothes I can think of and I wouldnt really care if they are kinda dirty at home and nobody's really looking at me.
Outside, if it's a walk in the park of something very informal, I'll go with jeans and a dress shirt and very simple sneakers.
A wedding or something very big, I'll wear a very formal suit, or something with high standards.
But sometimes I put in a lot of thought and effort into my clothes, even without a valid reason to do so. Sometimes I have a meeting with people who I want to get a good impression of me, especially things like a job interview. Or if a guest comes over and I dont want them to see me wearing something terrible.

I never dress for fashion unless it's required like work & skewl uniforms, job interviews or for something like a wedding or a funereal. I usually wear the same cloths when going out(walking, shopping, doc appointments, & the like) that I wear at home. When it's cold I'll wear jeans & a jacket but it's the same cloths otherwise.

Not long ago I saw some insane post where someone said women should not be allowed to wear pants ever, because they show off our legs and curves and is very sexual-looking. I was like, what?! !? 8O

I need to feel ashamed for having legs now, which are certainly not a part of the body that a man doesn't have? What is wrong with people?

As if I would wear jeans that are so skin-tight I wouldn't be able to sit down in them, anyway.

Option 2 is the closest to my situation. Since dropping out of the world of work, I haven't given a damn about the whole dressing up business (and only gave a damn because I was forced to prior to that). The only occasions on which I've worn a suit in the last twelve years were funerals.

I don't dress up for anyone. A few weeks ago i wore a suit for a friend's wedding. Because the other half made me lol. I didn't even wear a suit when I've been in court. I just dress how i feel comfy or out of practicality. I don't understand the attraction of fashion.

Option 3. I don't see why I need to wear nice clothes. I wear clothes to cover my body to keep it warm and to be comfortable on me. I don't understand why we need to dress smart.

Wearing shorts & short skirts/dresses would show off the legs even more than pants do. The Ferengi in Star Trek believe that females shouldn't be allowed to wear any cloths at all so things could be worse than women simply not being allowed to wear pants.

I also choose option #3. I'd rather dress for comfort and my own happiness. I like to wear lots of pea greens, tie-dye, loose shorts and pants that aren't super tight. Sometimes I wear a holographic toy German helmet.

I love green too but so I can blend in to the scenery. Is for safety. I feel safe if I am not seen.

Lol, yes :D

I mean, there are special occasions when I need to dig my special clothes and even sometimes high heels form the abbys of the biggest wardrobe... like going to opera. I like opera and a fine dress is suitable there. But I have a very comfortable jersey dress that fits red carpet well :)

But apart from this, I prefer to wear clothes that are comfortable and that don't need any special care. I like to be able to run or climb a tree without fearing I could break my legs or damage the clothes. On the social level, I found out the more nerdy I look the more tolerance to eccentric behaviors I receive. So it's even better not to look too "smart" if you have problems with behaving "smart".

Also, my waste can vary a few times in a day, so I usually have those draw string trousers. Comfortable ones. :)
