I won it in a Husaria vodka online contest - such contests are my obsessive interest :D I never had a console before - but for an eight-bit Pegasus one back in the 90's -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_(console) It seems every Polish youth had one back then. I'm so happy :D :D :D

Awesome you won that!! Do you participate in contests a lot? Only thing I've ever won were tickets to a zoo/safari for 2 and some coffees or donuts at a Tim Hortons. I've always considered applying to every contest I come across. Maybe I will do that.

Thank you all :D Yes,a LOT, as it is my obsessive interest :D A very practical one, I must add :D So far I was (as of 2019 only because before I won MUCH more): 39 books, 6 computer games, one board game, a bottle of vodka (but this time not a Husaria one, a different one this time, which I gave to my cousin), a scarf, three sets of pet food, two t-shirts, three sets of bedclothes, a pair of socks, an iron, five shopping bags, five mugs, baby products (a plastic mug, two bottles and a plush toy), a comic book on Dragonball, a plane model, a cocoa packaging, table tennis paddles, a backpack, a key leash, eight packagings of chocolates, earphones, a phone case, a key ring, bath salt, a set of vegetarian food products, a set of jars of mustard, mayonnaise, sandwich sauce etc., two bottles of perfume, a cd with the Aladin soundtrack, a t-shirt tab, a power supply, two "magical talismans", a set of Mountain Dew drinks, a pendrive, kitchen and other gadgets :D And this is, I believe, already all I won this year :D

I don't count those but I would say I enter like about 10 contests per week, maybe. They are all free to enter and I like epecially Facebook contests. I won most of my winnings in FB contests. I like also contests organized by some Polish website on ancient Rome because they always ask one and the same question: "post a curious detail on ancient Romans" - I already won four history related books from them :D I am also registered on some website sending their users paid surveys and you get points for answering their questions - when you have gathered a thousand points, you can exchange them for an Empik voucher for 40 zlotys (a zloty is the Polish currency and one dollar is llike 4 zlotys). I always choose a cheap computer game for those. Empik stores are a chain of stores selling books and cd's and games - at least when it comes to stationary Empik stores because online you can order much more things - toys, t-shirts and more. I also love contests organized on private blogs, you can typically win books in those.

Maybe the number of contests I participate in isn't too big but I do read a LOT on them - not all contests I come across are ones I would be interested in :) I also enter many writing contests as well. For example young children's stories writing contests, like my stories "A Princess and a Beggar Girl" or "The Moon and the Blowhard Crayfish".

Whoa, that's pretty awesome! How do you find the contests?
Grats on the Xbox too!

Edit: oops I see your answer above. Carry on!

Thank you and as for how I find those contests, there is one great Polish contest site that gathers all contests that are currenly available on the net :D Actually, there are more such sites but I use only this one - methinks it's the only site out of those which has a message board, where we can boast about what we just won.

My console has just arrived :D Together with a game - but it's a racing one and I don't like racing games :) I'll buy myself The Sims and The Civilization games, instead.

Nice!! ! What did you say in your essay?

I really enjoy my PS4. I'm almost finished playing Kingdom Hearts 3. I don't actually recommend it but I've been a big KH fan for a long time... I wish it was a better game. Perhaps some of it would be fun though if you liked the Disney movies the worlds were constructed from.

I said that I would be very happy if I got their console and every sentence of said statement of mine got supported by a quote on happiness by a famous person :D

There is also another contest I'm going to enter - there are consoles to win in it, as well

Yesterday some person who is my mom's friend's friend (she saw him only once before) came to install the console (we gave him a bottle of whisky I won once in another contest for his efforts, later on); when he left our flat afterwards, mom and me went to a store to buy a game for my new console. When we were on our way to the store, we saw the same man again on the premises of a swimming pool and he told us "good afternoon" so I responded with "good afternoon" as well and then my mom (let's remember she saw him like 20 minutes earlier 8O ) asked me who this guy was 8O 8O 8O She didn't recognize him 8O That's because "the swimming pool guy wasn't wearing any glasses and this console one was" as she excused herself. And no, she doesn't have a prosopagnosia. It's the very first time something like this happened, lol. :D
