Some people might not think this is impractical, but a chicken?

When I was a kid my dad once got some young chickens, but they weren't supposed to be pets. I was pretty upset when I noticed they were gone one day and then found out what happened to them.

One of these critters.

A tardigrade.

Also known as a "water bear", or "moss piglet".

They are as cute as puppies, teddy bears, or pot bellied pigs.

The only problem is that they are usually less than half of a millimeter long, and cant be seen without a microscope.

Kinda makes it hard to play fetch with one of them!

Depends on where you lived... might have been impractical in a small apartment in a big city, but in a farm in the middle of nowhere, we had thousands of those.

No, I think they were just given away to our next door neighbors, and I don't recall eating any chicken at their house afterwards.
