Do you ever want to learn a new language or can you speak a different language?

I can speak some German but I’m certainly not fluent. I do want to spend some more time learning the language until I know enough to have a conservation with a German speaker without any awkward pauses or running out of things to say. Once I’ve mastered German, I’d like to try learning Italian. Maybe Spanish as well.

I’ve tried learning Tagalog and Swedish, but I’ve had a break from it for a few months. This reminds me I should use Duolingo again soon. :)

I've been trying to learn Spanish for a few years now and I spend two to three months of the year in Spain. I've done all right, but you really have to live somewhere full time to make real progress (imo).

I lack the confidence to make the most of it... basically, I don't even have the confidence to speak to people in English a lot of the time.

I started studying English when I was eight, and am fluent in reading and writing it now. A bit rusty with listening and not as good at speaking it, though. I'm also studying basic Japanese.

I can speak some conversational Spanish.

I'm using the Duolingo app to get better at it.

I speak English and Swedish, I took Spanish a few years in school and I've occasionally gotten into my head to give a language or two a whirl on a hobby basis: Latin, German, French, Japanese and Icelandic are the ones that come to mind.

I took Spanish in high school, I wanted to learn a new language, I did good, I knew how to count, say the colors & more stuff, I was bad at understanding the language. When I did tests on Spanish, I did bad, my teacher was understanding. I know a few words of French. I used to have Portuguese friends, they taught me & I learned on my own, but I lost the language. I wish I knew more French, my boyfriend is from France.

I took some Spanish in high school, and Russian in college, but haven't kept in practice with either.

a year of high school-level french. didn't do me much good but i can read some basic french, speak a few mangled frenchie phrases. i am a sort of half-@$$ed francophile, i like the way they live. i had a french pen pal a few years back but we drifted apart. i need another french penpal as my french has gone way downhill. use it or lose it.

you can lower the goal posts, and concentrate on the most basic Farsi, but before that it is essential to learn the alphabet, as a foundation for further learning-
