Perhaps its just me and this writer, though I bristle at the way the concept of "special interests" is applied by NTs of all stripes in a derogatory, invalidating, isolating and (to my mind anyway) ignorant ways. It's a particular example of how they pathologise difference from the standpoint of a dominant majority.

That's really a neat article, B19, and quite worth reading! Thank you for bringing it up. I love the writing style.

Miss Dunn is autistic and I think she does a fine job opening the way autism works up to people, without the biting sense of offended minority that comes up far too often on this website.
