There are many different types. Your favourites? I like tiger bread. :)

Tiger bread is nice: I particularly like it with too much butter, dipped in creamy spinach & courgette soup.

Olive ciabatta is also a favourite: have to select a complementary cheese though (doesn’t work that well with cheddar or Stilton for instance)

I also bake a loaf of my own most weeks: sometimes white, sometimes half white half whole meal, sometimes a fancy made up packet from supermarket. Depending on mood and season.

I love bread, freshly baked french roll, or sourdough, or soda bread... mmm.

Cant eat it though without feeling the consequences.
I get brain fog and easily irritated within an hour of eating it, could feel the same way the next day too.

I miss sandwiches and toast, gf stuff is not the same.

Are you allergic? I've discovered that while I'm not allergic, I have a sensitivity, particularly with inflammatory issues. I don't get along that well with carbs in general.

While I love good pastry in particular, I've found that after not eating any dough products for a month or two, I become completely indifferent even to my favourite stuff. I start feeling the smell of yeast in freshly baked goods in a way that bothers me to the point that I can bake for others and not be tempted.

Oh I do enjoy pastries, choux and rough puff, yum!
Not allergic, but wheat intolerant, it has an impact on my digestive system too lol.
I still eat it in small amounts though, other family members cut it out completely and seemed to become more sensitive to gluten as a result.

Eggs, specifically the white part also have an undesirable effect. Cake is my way of keeping it in my diet too... a food tolerance building exercise
