Not angry: disappointed to have my pessimism confirmed would be more accurate.

It's interesting that Mitt Romney broke away from his fellow GOP Senate members and voted against Trump on only one article of impeachment.

But yes, it is not surprising that Trump was acquitted. We all knew this was going to happen from the start.

No, I expected that the enablers would continue to enable him. It's another step in how to lose a country (thinking of a book of that name which recently stunned me with its insights, and alarmed me at where this could be leading).

No I was always pretty sure the years long effort was not going to amount to much. I also do not think the Trump presidency is going to amount to a whole lot either. I certainly do not think America is going to collapse over it.

I hope for the best but experience has taught me to expect the worst. As a result I am NOT surprised Trump wasn't removed but I really wanted him to be.

I'm not angry that Trump wasn't removed from office, because he did a lot of good things for the Pro-Life movement.

Hmmm....
I share the fear...
But it has occurred to me that if a certain prime minister were to be seen to be “defending the NHS from the pilfering yanks” that would go quite well propaganda wise with his whole ‘right-wing populism with English cultural characteristics’ act.
Lots of well-off lefty middle class anti-American votes in suburban marginals come next election.

Yeah, but it wasn't really a surprise.

Trump = Obama = Bush = Clinton...
They all support the military and financial industrial complexes completely.

The only thing I ever get angry about is that the citizens are so blind to this obvious reality.

That is probably why I have found that a lot of stuff said about Trump has already been said about Obama, Bush and Clinton.

My only concern if he had been removed would be that Pence would try to start a theocracy.
