Hello Everyone:

I must ask do people named "Melanie" really love melons as much as their name implies? I mean the name Melanie sounds like the adjective form of the word melon as to say it sounds like "MELON-y" so do the Melanies really love melons that much?

Note: melons include cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon (my name's not melanie so I'm not a melon expert)

No, they just resemble melons.

In follow up to your comment: resemble melons physically or with the name?

If this is serious: "Melanie" has nothing to do with "melons."

Melanie is from the Greek, and it means "dark/black."

Interestingly, there was a character named Melanie, on a cartoon called "Josie and the Pussycats" who came across like a "dumb blonde," and had almost white hair.

Let's not ruin a fun topic with pointless negativity.

The OP is actually an interesting person.

He doesn't communicate verbally at all.

He uses Augmentative and Alternative Communications Devices exclusively.

Well...

the original post could have been worse.

The OP could have assked "do women named "Melanie" HAVE big melons?"

So we all should be grateful for that.

^^^That’s no excuse.

If it was meant as a joke, ‘tain’t funny, McGee.

Frankly, nothing’s funny any more. No, I’m NOT willing to talk about it!

I've never met a Melonie but if I do I'll be sure to ask her.

Melons are my favourite fruit, but my name's not Melanie.

(Kraftie: I think OP is a "she".)

I do. But oddly, I'm not so crazy about apple pie.

I love apple pie me.

But If it was stewed apple without the pie, I simply wouldn't give it the time of day.

Ok:

First off, I am a male to female transgender person. My pronouns are she, her, and hers

Secondly, this whole thing came about as a result of an internal thing that came across my desk at work because of how I have been behaving recently at work

Quote:
it’s interesting, Carly should have named herself Melanie because we all know she has been asking everyone around here for melons.

Another thing that came up was my daddy’s remark when asking about Melanie

Quote:
you want big melons, right?Well you should have named yourself Melanie. So there you go

So that’s where the idea from this thread came from was an internal thing at work and my dads comments.
