I keep getting slandered by film related people...

I've been trying to land parts in movies since 2015, and only been having limited success. I'm not able to appear in big budget movies due to ridiculous charges from years ago, so I'm stuck with independent productions, which I ask to be in when people advertise for extras on Facebook, for example. However, I've missed out on being in a lot of films by now, because of being too anxious to show up by myself, or people have been spreading Chinese whispers.

This actress started slandering me in late 2016, and continues doing it, to the point where a lot of people are rejecting me for being in films. I also came across Tweets ages ago from people who worked on films, and although I wasn't named in their posts, I know they were talking about me going by what they said. In fact, I called one of them on my mobile a few years ago when I looked up his website's information, and he said I better not look for any more acting related work, because everyone knows me. I contacted her agent to make a formal complaint, and she wasn't helpful. The police were also contacted. Unfortunately, they don't deal with defamation cases. She also got trolls on YouTube to talk about me last year. They displayed messages from her and others, because I had problems with them after they targeted a YouTuber named Nemesis, and they called me names during a live chat on Discord. Like, they were referring to me as a "paedophile" and "woman stalker", among other things. Now Nemesis (who I previously defended) is friends with them. They usually do podcasts, covering Resident Evil.

Recently, I paid money on Indiegogo to pledge towards the production costs for a horror feature film and then a short horror film, just to be an extra in both of them. None of these people are giving me a part in these productions because somebody has been slandering me yet again. But how do I get the ball rolling on getting them dealt with? This has been going on now for at least 3 years by this point, so I'm sick of it.

I had to go to court last month for mentioning somebody in a video, briefly. The thing is though, the actress contacted this singer who reported me a few years ago, and I just mentioned his name because she dragged him into it. I'm not allowed to do "anything that electronically affects this person". Yet I didn't even contact him. She badmouthed me, and she admitted she contacted him, so I mentioned him and other people in a video. Clearly that's what they wanted. I'm not even interested in this woman at all.

So, how can I counter-sue or whatever? My lawyer said that costs 20 grand. But if they harassed me by slandering me and telling people to rant about me on air, isn't that technically harassment as well? I've also called the court, because I want my criminal past expunged, and I reside in Scotland. Years ago, these lousy support workers got me into trouble too, and my record has tons of crap on it about them, and when I was in court last month, the PF treated it as a serious case and tried to oppose me receiving bail, and the police even said to me they understood that I was just letting off steam, due to being abused online. There's probably nothing I can do about the garbage that's on my record, sadly, but I thought you were allowed to appeal anything that you consider to be unfair. But I guess not.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Ah! Maybe changing my name may help me to get around that issue with, "everybody knowing me".

The thing is, they normally credit people for being extras in short films, as they tend to have fewer people working on them. If I turn up using a false name and I have a quiet word after the shoot though, they would probably have to include footage of me and credit me by my real name after all, as they may not want to make a massive stink in front of other people in attendance, and give me the boot. This trick could work, and I am glad you recommended it to me. But then if they're associated with the human garbage that have been picking on me so far, they would probably report me to the pigs for lying about my identity. It also doesn't help that Facebook keeps disabling my profiles, due to that checkpoint crap.

From now on, I am going to call myself Grover Mitchell, or something just as dumb. I won't let them beat me.

Well, “Grover”, if you encounter anyone who knows you by your real name, then they may rat you out to the producers. Make sure that “Grover” goes only to those auditions and cattle-calls that are run by no one who already knows you.

And, nope. I wish I was kidding. I really do wish I was joking here, but I'm not.

I really have missed out on being in all of those movies, and the odd TV series as well, for various reasons!

Did it ever occur to you that you might just not be the type they were looking for?

My son is an indie producer/director in the Far East, and one of his projects just got picked up by Netflix. He looks for edgy, young types who can handle loud, fast-paced action scenes as well as interact believably in one-on-one relationship scenes. We both agree that I am most fit to be the old man who gets brutally murdered before the opening credits roll. Needless to say, I'm not the type he usually looks for.

Yeah. Maybe it could be a case of directors being picky about who they cast in what roles they have on offer, and not to offend anybody by saying this, but I don't think people with autism are particularly appealing to pompous production teams. However, you would think that casting decision would apply more if you were aiming to co-star in the damn film, but I really only wanted to be another face in the crowd. It seems rather stupid that they would reject a person as an extra, when you're only going to be just that. An extra!

I'd been listed with Universal Extras for some 4 years. I applied to be in F9 as a shopper, and I never heard back from them, and this was in September with only a few weeks to go before my membership was up for renewal. I never had any other job offers from them as far as I'm aware, and I'd already paid twice to be on their books, as I chose to be listed for 2 years from 2015 to 2017, and then from 2017 to last year. All of the minor roles in films I achieved were gained by contacting people through social media, or by pledging money on people's Indiegogo campaigns, and whatnot.

By law, many agencies concerning background actors request that you upload a disclosure certificate, and mine is actually blootered with stalking charges to do with ex support workers, and a singer from this 80's group. I'd rather not get into that commotion, but I wasn't really stalking these female support workers. They asked to be removed from my support rota several years ago, after people did what these film people are doing nowadays. After that, they freaked out over something petty and refused to work with me again. Their bosses lied in an attempt to spare my feelings, and insisted they were still scheduled to have support sessions with me. Later on, I tried to apologise to these people on Facebook after the issue escalated, and that was a breach of bail, or a breach of a court order to do so. They didn't care anyway. In fact, I ended up in jail quite a lot.

These days, I hardly even go on buses when I need to travel around anywhere, and I normally walk to my family's house, because of anxiety issues. Social services haven't bothered finding me any support since I ditched the useless guy they acquired for me from a nursing agency, which I don't need. My sister used to help me out with turning up for filming dates whenever she could, until she was diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder, and now she is troubled by viral infections, and the fact that the court took her sons away due to an ongoing legal matter, and so on and so forth.

I cannot travel to England and Wales either, due to having agoraphobia. So, that means I can only act in films that are being shot nearby. However, all of this hassle has gotten to be way too much for me to handle now, and it affects my mental health quite badly. I'm never done calling my mother, complaining about what film I'm going to be missing out on next. While she understands how annoying it is, she also said that they will just keep talking about me behind the scenes regardless, so I'd be better off finding something else to focus on.

Yeah you were on here a few years ago, talking about those support workers that you would not stop trying to contact after multiple court orders or whatever. That was harrassment, so not sure how likely it is the courts are going to expunge your records.

You tried to apologize to those people on facebook after the courts had ordered you to cease contact...resulting in more trouble for you.

Anyways it will be hard to erase that kind of reputation, I mean movie filming companies may be apprehensive about hiring people with 'stalking/harassment' charges. So you'd probably have to build up your name in smaller films, maybe take a good look at your behavior and make sure you really have changed and wouldn't refuse to stop contacting someone if requested to do so. Then perhaps if you maintain better behavior have some success there then you could move up some more....but you'd have to avoid any more feuds with other people in film.

I mean realistically it doesn't look good, kinda seems you've already earned yourself a bad reputation among your local filming community.

One movie I did enjoy appearing in, was "Dick Dynamite 1944". It's about Nazis and you will see in the trailer below, that the film has a lot of over the top gore, guns, and humour. I also produced it.

The guy who directed it played guitar with a cult Edinburgh punk band called the Exploited. It should be released this summer, so look out for it if you're interested.

My character is based on the villain who pursues Harrison Ford in the first Indiana Jones movie, called Toht. I show up in a bar scene, and had quite a good part.

I was supposed to have a small speaking part in a Christian feature film called "Home Away from Home", which is about a girl from China who comes to Edinburgh. In the final cut though, you can hardly see me. You get a small glimpse of me sitting on a couch in someone's flat, but I was meant to give the main character directions to a house near the beginning of the film. When I seen the movie at a special screening with my sister, I was left feeling let down that my 'big moment' was omitted. But that was around the time this Kiwi troll started following me around on forums, so I think he said something to the director. Or maybe it was one of these film people. It wasn't a good time in my life at all. Now I have to be careful about adding anything to my IMDb page while the production is ongoing. That way, it's harder for idiots to keep tabs on my activities. Sometimes, it takes getting a kick below the belt to wisen the hell up. You know?

I was a zombie in "Redcon-1", which features a former WWE Superstar. You also get a good shot of me in "Night Closes" in front of Edinburgh Castle. I'm the guy with the black jacket, and glasses.

But, hey. If these end up being the only films I am ever going to be in, that's more than some other folk ever achieved. Right?

I may have to take some of these morons to the small claims court, so I will be calling up the court tomorrow. Anyway, I paid money to them in the past to pledge towards their new films, and I had my mother sending them messages when they started to brush me off. They have yet to refund the money. Well, I think I got slandered once again, but they kept skipping over my questions when I confronted them. But it's kind of obvious.

Furthermore, I also have proof that these people were spreading stories about me, in order to get me blacklisted. One of them left a comment regarding a video, so I called the dentist where she works. She is a producer, called Heather. And these people who contacted this Nicolette (who sucks, by the way) were calling me names in a live stream back in November, although I didn't know they were going to mention her, nor did I know they had been in touch with her. But yeah. They had messages on her, and then they put the video back up, but cut all of that out.

These trolls were saying rude things in a live call that included, "Your face kind of screams paedophile", and "You killed and gutted a rat", and also saying remarks such as, "You go around abusing women", because I defended this Nemesis guy when the other guys who spoke to me alongside him on Discord, were originally against him because he kept rabbiting on about Capcom, so they used to make videos about him before I got involved. They deleted videos about him, after he improved his mannerisms, but I uploaded a lot of them on Internet Archive.

My mother keeps on saying that I spread too much of my business online, which opens me up to being mocked.

I saw a movie a couple years ago. It was a man named Farrokh Bulsara. He was a Parsi refugee from Zanzibar living in London. He wanted to be a musician but instead was working as a baggage handler at Heathrow Airport.

He changed his name to Freddie Mercury and became the lead singer of the British rock band Queen. The movie was called Bohemian Rhapsody.

It's sad mate, but in 20 years from now, I doubt any youngsters will even know who Queen were.

They all listen to mostly techno crap today, and that's not my scene. But anyway, I may have to give up with acting now. To have any chance of getting anywhere, I think you have to have an agent for to gain decent roles, and they could have tons of people on their books already. So if they cannot get any jobs, I doubt I will. And perhaps I should count myself lucky that I was in the few movies that I was. The slandering and associated rubbish that came afterwards only brings back bad memories, though. It kind of feels like these accomplishments were more like setbacks.

Did anyone listen to Nemesis and those other clowns talking smack about me in that video? Who do they think they are? They have no authority to be harassing anybody over people's opinions on video games. It's subjective.
