How do you clean your cat’s butts? Piper won’t let me touch her.

What sort of cat is it?
My mom has a cat that was born without a tail, and sometimes that cat will get a little poop stuck back there and a little in her fur but she usually lets you clean it off, just complains a lot with meows.

You may just have to grab the cat and hold her in a way she can't claw you as gently as you can and clean her...but thats only if she's getting poop stuck there, like if she doesn't have an issue like that there isn't much reason to clean her but, sounds gross but cats generally do that themselves. That said if you have to resort to that you may want to at least reward her with treats or a portion of wet food or even just spoon them out a little canned tuna, then you can perhaps develop a positive association, like she knows if you have to do that she gets a tasty treat after. Then she might tolerate it more.

Its easiest to clean their bums with the assistance of another person...especially if they are ferocious about it. For my cat I tend to plop him in my lap with him on his back. His head against me and I pull his back legs up a bit to expose his pooper and then either a damp or dry(depends what is required) toilet paper/cloth/paper towel to clean it up. he growls but he lets me do it.

Our fluffy cat we had we would sit or lean over near him and hold his tail up with one hand and try to push the hair out of the way to get to his bum and wipe at it with the other hand. He was a little difficult because he'd walk around a bit but that was least stressful way to do it for him.

You'll need to get a hold of your cat, but after that it might take some trial and error of what kind of position to have yourself and them in in order to do it.

They do! but some are better at keeping it clean than others lol Occasionally they'll get a ding-berry or have the runs and need some assistance. I had a cat that was too fluffy for him to adequately get in there. When they are old or sick their cleaning habits can deteriorate or they might stop all together.
