Can people see which Facebook groups their friends belong to

Can my facebook friends see which facebook groups I belong to? I want to join an autism group, but if my friends can see I'm a member then I'd rather not...

They can if it's a public group, but if it's a closed group i don't think they can unless they're also in the group.

Depends on your settings. You can hide groups from your friends. So I think you might have to quickly hide a group once you've joined. Here is how you hide a group ( you'l have to google it , not allowed to post URL's )

I considered hiding the autism groups I've joined but decided not too ( Had no trouble so far )
