Time Crime.
Have you noticed how the internet really robs you of time? I have spent a few days without internet access as I needed a break and It struck me how much time is stolen by using the internet. If I wrote books instead, in less then a single year I would have written a few, and I would be more relaxed with it!
It makes me question what I'm doing?
Now the main use of the internet is communication. It is quick and easy. But what is wrong with the traditional ways of communication? Nothing!
Then why are we heading into a future of being slaves to the system? Why is it dominating us and our attention? Why can't we be controlling it? Why is it soo addictive?
Good question. Yes, during the last few days I missed catching up with my internet friends. I have been having fun "Playing" trains! Actually cleaning track and painting. Paint can cause me shutdowns, but fortunately this paint wasn't as it was outdoors in a breezy enviroment. It rained so I was soaked a fair few times. Those were dedicated to track cleaning.
Now I actually felt better. I was away from the stresses at home. I was away from the high pitched WIFI which I can hear now as I speak. I was away from the nearby mobile phone mast with its high pitched sound. Both feel similar to going under pylons or stading in the same room as a microwave while it is on.
I am wondering how harmful these modern things are?
I am not against the internet. I am not against mobile phones, pylons, electricity, or microwaves. But I am wondering if it is all neccessary? How much we muddle our lives in things which we don't really need and all the headaches they can cause! Things which DON'T MATTER!
My nieces and nephews were actually taught that the internet is the future, but one thing I have learned in my life is that things can change fast and not to rely on them being the same.

before the internet i had LOTS of time for reading and exercise and listening to music and watching videos and overall self-improvement. the internet is the time robber of all time. there are people out there though, who have figured out how to "have it all" and both do internet while still being able to do all the other things, these people can multitask. wish i was one of 'em.
I woke up at 10am and it is now 12. Time I could have used doing other things!
