Ok
You are going to visit a deserted desert island, but you can only take 3 things. What would you take ?
Remember there is no electricity or internet on the island.
Have fun.

Sunscreen, a camera, and my return-trip ticket.

Well, I'll be damned.

Takes out the middle man of power companies, all they do is burn stuff.

Lets stay until you are rescued, so it might be a day or a week or a month

Couldn't make that determination without knowing what sorts of plants and wildlife, and also water sources were on the island. In addition to whether or not there were any natural places to seek shelter, such as a cave. :nerdy:

If there was nothing to eat or drink, I might as well bring a flare gun for rescue, and a small hatchet. And a pallet full of jugs of water.

I'm not going unless its for at least a year - how can I possibly be the hermit that I've always fantasized about if I might be interrupted at any moment by a rescue party?

Anyway, why is this island deserted? Who deserted it, and what scared them off? All sounds a bit fishy to me - is this one of those dodgy time-share deals, or something?

Otherwise, a pencil, a piece of paper and a bottle - it's guaranteed I'll to need to let someone know that I accidentally left the gas on or something before I left.

A bowie-knife, scissors & a BUNCH of duct-tape. I saw on Myth Busters that you can survive on a deserted island with duct-tape & can even build a boat/raft thing with bamboo & duct-tape.

Hahaha

I like all of these answers.

I didn't think to be more precise in the question.

Will keep it in mind the next time I have a bright idea for a new thread.

Anyway keep having fun with it.
