I tend to be around close friends when I'm feeling comfortable. Which can be a shock, since when I'm first getting to know someone I am much more reserved. It's almost bizarre because if I do know you, then it's not uncommon for me to break into song and to tell outlandish jokes. Generally, I am much more likely to be approached by new people if I'm already with friends. Mainly because I come across as friendlier, I know I can unintentionally come across as hostile in new situations with new people. Further, I tend to be asked what's wrong when I'm with a mixture of friends of new people.

i.e. You've been awfully quiet, what's wrong?

When I'm around new people, I'm still trying to gain a grasp of when I should talk and when to listen, I don't want to overstep. However, in groups of friends I have a fairly decent understanding of this. Also, I am more likely to become animated when ideas are being exchanged, jokes are being told and when we're talking about an interesting subject. I want to gain an understanding of what behaviour is considered acceptable and what I should avoid doing in particular groups so I hold back initially.

I remember back in my school days I was known as the quiet kid. However, whenever I was with my best friend I became rather talkative. People would encourage us to spend more time together because they preferred it when I was talkative around them.

Although I am introverted, I do have a theatrical side to my personality. I enjoy spending time with my friends and making silly jokes. However, I do get tired out fairly quickly from socialising. I remember when I used to perform in dance shows. Back then, I used to socialise in rehearsals and backstage but I'd never hang around for the after party. At that point I was always too exhausted. Both from the dancing and the socialising, but mostly the socialising. I enjoyed it though even though I wasn't the best dancer. :P

Very, although since I have bipolar it comes and goes with that.

Sometimes I'm, and sometimes I'm not.
It's frustrating, but it seems it's a fact of life for me.

Sometimes it's just bad enough seeing it in retrospect, enough to consider various comorbidities that matches these inconsistencies.

It didn't helped that I'm actually more of an ambivert.

I still don't like it. Still couldn't entirely accept it. That I'm built and brought up too emotional for my own taste.

I never go out with friends. Seriously.
I am only posting here because: "You be nice people".
And I am engaging in "Existential Verification/Validation".

Kool, huh? 8)
