Don’t get me wrong dogs are sweet and all I am literally surrounded by dogs but I don’t really like them. I don’t know if its how they make my hand feel weird when I pet them or how they constantly make noises that bother me. Like I love cats but dogs...Eh

I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as you're not hurting any.

I'm rather apathethic towards most animals myself.

I've never been a dog lover. I had a fear of dogs when I was a child, and although I've outgrown the fear, I still prefer cats.

I wouldn't want to see any dog hurt or mistreated or killed, and I do have a few favourite breeds of dogs, but I'd still say I'm more of a cat lover.

My boyfriend's family are all dog lovers so I am greeted by dogs whenever we go to visit someone.

It doesn't seem bad to me.

I love animals and I'm fond of dogs, but from a distance. A lot of dog actions bother my sensory sensitivities. The barking startles me and hurts my head, they tend to lick or slobber which bothers my skin, they often have an unappealing odor, and they invade person space often. So I like to see dogs just not be super close to them. There are some exceptions. I know a few dogs who are very well behaved, and I feel comfortable around them.

I like them but I don't like them "ON" me...especially their mouths. I love them actually but my sensitivities can't cope.
I want to reach out to them but I simply can't.

I hate them.

I have a severe phobia and think they hate me.

My cousin thinks it's funny. She lets her dog leap on me and almost knock me over.

I would never hurt them.

I don't trust them not to hurt me though.

To me, it's like having a pet lion. Bad idea.

I'm ok with cats cos they only severely attack/kill non-humans (and babies).

A few years ago Dog V3 was pesting a visitor by making silly noises. I asked the visitor what the noises were; he thought he was being growled at but the noise actually meant please because Dog V3 wanted him to throw the ball.

Dogs make a huge range of noises and it takes a while to learn what they mean.

Not liking dogs is perfectly normal.

Liking or loving cats but not liking dogs seems perfectly natural to me, but then I'm a cat person. I find that I don't really like dogs at all, not even when I've had people in my life that owned dogs. "Oh, cool dog, man. Yeah, no, I don't really want to pet him. He looks cool over there, though!" I think it's probably mostly sensory for me as well, but to be honest it's been so long since I've been around a dog, I'm not sure exactly why I don't like them.

The last time I had someone in my life with a dog was 2012, and I had to pretend to like his dog as much as his dog liked me. When I stopped all contact, that wasn't the reason or even a part of it, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was a plus. I didn't hate the dog or anything, but I hated PRETENDING TO like the dog.

I hate people who harm dogs (or any other animal).

Mum had a boyfriend who kicked his dog. :x

She left him over it. She was always vegan in spirit although back then she was literally just veggie. But she was always pro animal rights a lot.

Plus it's a warning sign that someone who is violent to their pet might then turn and become violent to their human partner or family members.

I was scared of the dog and used to always hide in the other room away from it. Now, I know I was scared of dogs already at that point but I think that dog had been made over needy by the fact its only human was so horrible to it :(

I like dogs & cats but I prefer dogs. I find dogs much more predictable & consistent than cats thou different dogs can vary a lot. Plus dogs are more trainable & wanting to learn. That said I can get why people would not care for dogs & I can also get why people might have a phobia of dogs. Dogs & cats can both have their pluses & minuses.

I have mixed feelings about them.

I don't entirely like or dislike contact with them.
