It seems like there are just as many Brits as Americans, even though they should outnumber us by about 10 to 1.

We found each other?
Are there similar forums on other English language servers?

The ratio in national population size is more like five to one. Not "ten to one".

Sixty seven million million Brits to 330 million Americans.

I dont know what the ratio in numbers on WP is. I believe that there are more Americans, but it does seem like a less than a five to one ratio to Brits. So Brits might be over represented.

The Anglosphere in general is well represented. Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, have a lot of WP members. As well as the two biggest contingents:WPers from the USA and those from the UK.

Thats to be expected. If it were a Portugese language autistic site you would expect most of the members to be from either Portugal, Brazil, or from the Cape Verde islands. Or a Spanish language site you would expect it to be mostly from Spain, and from Latin America.

WP gets many members from non former British empire countries as well. The Netherlands, Finland, the Scandinavian countries, and Poland are well represented.

Suprisingly few are from India (a huge population British commonwealth country where folks often speak English).

Now that you have raised the question...it may be that American members are more likely to leave the site in a huff, than Brits are (because they get into fights with other Americans over politics and the like). So over the years Brits remain and accumilate while Americans dont. So that MIGHT account for an outsized British presence here. Just guessing.

Haha. Are Americans frustrated by our superior political system? Maybe. I think we have a lot of problems too to be honest, we are far too conservative.

I don't really care which countries my fellow WP members are from. I love every member the same.

I'm not sure what the ratio of USians to UKers is, but the UK seems to have a better healthcare system so maybe there's a more accurate rate of diagnosis and therefore more UKers who know they or someone they know is/are autistic.

Obviously Americans are the biggest group on WP. No one is arguing with that.

What's a "Latverian"?

Do you mean "Latvian"?

You Latvians are welcome to have him. BTW.

Yes. Some years ago some teenage guy was asking for advice about -I forget exactly what it was- but about how a mullah of his mosque would react if he asked the guys daughter out. Sumpin like that. No one on the site was culturally equipped to answer his question because there are so few cultural muslims on the site. Some. But those few never saw his post and never responded.

Maybe Alex could partner up with foreigners and start WP type sites in languages spoken in large numbers of countries. Like French, Spanish, and Arabic. .
