Pottery Barn has nice ones, but they're expensive, even with their Black Friday discounts. NordstromRack could be a good bet.

How much thread counts should I buy? Is Bed Bath & Beyond better? Can I get towels at Walmart or Kohl’s?

I didn't know that towels had thread counts, I thought that was just sheets?

You could buy from any of those stores. Bed Bath&Beyond and Kohl's will usually have a huge range of basic to luxury towels. I'm not sure about Walmart. Their online marketplace is chaotic to me so I rarely browse there.

I'm not sure. I could only reccomend places in the uk. I think it is one of those things you are better buying in person than the internet.

I get my towels from Marshalls or Winners(TJ Max in the US), so much cheaper than anywhere else though I've heard the stores are kinda picked over this year. Egyptian cotton towels made in Morocco seem to be the best. Egyptian cotton doesn't really have any standards so quality can vary widely.

The newest ones I have came from Kohl's and the older ones came from Target. Both are good, in my opinion.

TJ Maxx. They have good quality brands at discount prices.

I was given a Norwex microfibre bath towel as a birthday gift. It’s super absorbent and has antibacterial silver fibres woven in it. Just the way the fibres are it feels almost “sticky,” or “grippy,” on my skin a but - sort of like Velcro ?? But not scratchy, just different because there are so many micro fibres. It’s a unique feeling for a towel, but not unpleasant or anything. It dries my skin & hair super fast and doesn’t even feel wet like a typical cotton towel. (Norwex is a brand of natural cleaning products sold via home parties & online. It’s been around for decades.)

This thread is too soft. Can we sharpen it up a bit by talking about trowels instead? :p
