How do you add images to your post?

I don't know how to do it.

When you go to type your message under message body: there should be some icons. You click the icon furthest to the right the one that looks like a tiny picture of mountains with a sun over it, and it will give you an option to put link to your image.

But I just want the image in the post, not the link to it.

Type:

One cannot post the image directly from personal files. As must as I wish otherwise...

One has to upload the image online, and then get the image online link to post it.

I'll add that if the pic is already online(like if you found it doing a google image search or somewhere else on the net) you could insert that link in the brackets. It doesn't work with all pix thou, some sites don't like hotlinking. If you want to post pix that are not already online(like if you take some pix with your phone's camera that you want to post) you'll have to upload the pic to something like an image hosting site & then put that link in the brackets. I don't know much about image hosting sites thou. I've only used Photobucket & that was like 10 years ago but I'm sure some other members on this forum can suggest/recommend some. It would be easier for us posters if we could just upload pix on here that we have saved on our devices but things could potentially be messy for the webmaster & admins. WP could get in trouble from hosting copyrighted images. Plus hosting uses more bandwidth than hotlinking & some members & others might hotlink to the hosted images which would use even more bandwidth.
