Because I really want to fly to London, but I cant these days.

I love those buses. I've dreamed about them nearly every night since the middle of March. Too bad I can't post any pictures. My super cheap laptop doesn't have a copy and paste function.

I like them. I think maybe I had a toy one as a child. I've sat on the second deck of a bus in the front seat and enjoyed it. It sort of felt like being up in an aeroplane. But unfortunately it was a different more modern design than the classic Roadmaster.

I have a collection of 50 of those buses in a cabinet in my apartment. I've been collecting them for 25 years.

I'm plane sick. I'd really like to go to London right now. London is the dream of Kinks Fans around the world. As soon as I arrive I'd hop on a big, red Routemaster.

I'd like to hot wire a Routemaster, gather up all the hippies in London and take them all for a joyride.

Here you go, CR - your very own trip through London:

A 360° ride - you can drag the mouse around inside the video to change the view:

A Routemaster idling.
What a lovely, friendly sound and always makes me think of the unique, nice warm smell of the inside (a weird combination of dust, oil, hints of various perfumes, carpet, rubber - it's a lot better than it sounds  ):

None of the modern replacements has any character, compared to these.

Thank you for giving me my own trip to London. It was very enjoyable watching the videos. The buildings are a site to behold. I like seeing a few minutes of St Paul's Cathedral to the side in the first video. I also liked the summer greenery and leaf covered trees in the second video with the hint of drying rain water on the road.

I also liked the idling as well. I liked that old sound along with the closeups of the engine grills.

Out of curiosity, what do you actually drive, if anything?

These were the buses of my childhood, not routemasters. I liked them a lot, particularly the single decker ones, but was actually more interested in the tickets
