I don't know much about the latest phones but it would help for the readers to know some details. Me & my girlfriend finally got new phones about a year ago & we just talked to the Verizon guy who asked us some questions & gave us a couple choices. I'm assuming your getting a smart phone. Do you have a preference for Android or Apple? Or your open to either? What are the main things your planning to do with your phone? For example besides phone calls 1ce or 2wice a week, I mostly check email, browse the web, & text, but I'll also sometimes post a quick reply on this forum, listen to music, & occasionally look at porn on my phone. I kinda need a bigger screen because my vision is bad & I have bad fine motor-skills which can make my typing on the touch-screen keyboard difficult. I would really prefer a physical keypad but they don't really make those anymore so a bigger screen is a tad better for my typing. I prefer to use my desktop for various web things when I can. My girlfriend makes phone calls occasionally, & she texts her family & me, chats with her family on FB messenger & does various other things on FB including FB games. She also uses her phone for web browsing, online banking stuff, checking email, listening to music, linking her fitbit, sometimes takes pictures, & occasionally take a short vid. She usually uses her phone for online stuff but she'll occasionally get on my desktop if needed. Do you have an idea of the price rang you'd be able to afford for a phone? The phones we got were very expensive but the cost got added to my bill for two years & there is about one year left to go with paying them off. The 1s we got were the LG V40 Thin Q. We cant really recommend to get one or not get one since our old phones were really old & we haven't really used anyone elses phone. We would however recommend checking around for the prices of the various phone accessories like screen protectors & phone cases. The accessories can have major price differences even if they are the same brand & are the same model at various places. The price at the Verizon store for accessories like screen protectors & phone cases is a lot more than what we could find the exact 1s for on eBay.

Samsung. They're sleek and shiny.
I care much more about functionality than looks but different people can find different things appealing about phones or most anything really which is why it'll help for the OP to give us readers an idea of what she's wanting in a phone. I have nothing against sleek & shiny, I just have other priorities for what I'd want in a phone like bigger screen size, android instead of apple, & good reception.
