Any guesses?

Audi A6?

Porsche GT3?

BMW M6?

Some form of AMG Merc?

The left-field answer would be something like a Caterham 7 Superlight or a Lotus Evora but I'm guessing they're rare in Canada?

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Caterham 7 Superlight so I’d say they’re rare here for sure.

Never heard of a Lotus Evora *googles* I’ve probably seen some here and thought they were Lotus Exige’s - look pretty similar. Definitely see Lotuses around, but no, I haven’t driven one.

I DO live in the suburbs of the Supercar Capital of North America. There are so many $$$ cars here that my friend is renovating one of his warehouses just to rent out parking spaces for Supercars - no joke! (I’ll be making the walls look pretty in preparation for a fresh coat of paint.) Lotuses aren’t exactly Supercar status, but they do look exotic! 8)

Aah. Not sure if they sell that model here - maybe. Not very many Alfa Romeos on the road here at all. They’ve only been for sale here for a few years and they don’t have much market share at all.

The Evora GTE is a genuine 3.9 second 0-100 km/h machine, but Lotus are primarily known for lightness and superb handling rather than huge horsepower. They're pretty quick in a straight line but the big advantage is not needing to slow down for corners. An old friend of mine had a Caterham 7 (which is basically a continuation of the Lotus 7 from 60 years ago) and a 1000cc sports bike, and he reckoned the Caterham was quicker.

If we're talking American machinery, the C6 Corvette ZR1, Dodge Viper and new era Ford GT have all been clocked at 3.9 seconds for 0 - 100 km/h

Too fast for the 3.9 second bracket - the Model S manages 0 - 100 km/h in 2.6 secs in "ludicrous mode" and 3.3 secs otherwise.

Dodge Viper is that quick? Well. That means the old Volvo 360's were much quicker then I thought as they were lapping a racetrack (I am not sure if the event was at Silverstone? It was one of the UK's well known tracks where the race Formula 1 cars) between 1 and 2 seconds slower then what was then a new Dodge Viper. I know the Dodge had a big 10 cylinder engine. The old Volvo 360's had impressive handling so were able to take advantage of the corners, especially in the wet, but they only had little Volvo 2000cc 4 cylinder engines so the Dodge had the advantage.
