My parents will purchase a 4K television in July. They asked for my input about what they should get. I said that I would search the internet to figure out what is best.

We do not own a television right now because nobody in my family likes to watch television. But, we are getting a new television because my Mom watches Netflix on her smartphone and my brother wants the new xBox that just came out. My Dad wants to watch 4K nature videos on Youtube.

We live in a small apartment. Should we get a 55-inch television or a 75-inch television? Should we buy a cheap 4K television for $300 or an expensive television for $700?

I went to Target with my dad to look at televisions. I could not tell the difference between any of the televisions. Are the 4K televisions all the same in terms of picture quality?

Please tell me what you think.

Straight off. I dont' have a TV either, but I've been thinking about getting one. I watch a lot of stuff on my laptop, but now I work from home I want to just switch the laptop off when I'm done and leave it.

I like to use sites such as tech radar to read reviews of what's on offer in the technical world, from buying a phone to buying new speakers.

Which is a very respected site in the UK. They've been doing independent reviews for years, the only catch is you have to pay a subscription to read the reviews.

I bought an 85” 4K Samsung with all the bells and whistles at the beginning of first lockdown here. Best thing ever! Seriously. I was an avid cinema-goer pre-lockdown. This tv along with great Bose soundbar, genuinely feels like the real cinema experience. Visually stunning and though I mostly use it for movie nights, I’ve been blown away by nature docs as well. Definitely pays to shop around online for the best price.

As it’s something that will last a good 15 years, my advice would be to choose the larger, more expensive one you mentioned. This is an investment. I’ve bought a number of tvs both here and in the US.
