Hey all!
The next game in a series I really like is coming out next year! One of the series' staples is monthly opinion poll-type things (such as: mayonnaise or ketchup? Rock music or pop music?) where the results are determined by voting and online battles. My idea is to bring those polls in poll format to Wrong Planet as they come! I thought it would be a nice idea and so wanted to ask your opinions on it.
Note: these polls won't start until 2022. This is just a general interest check... with a poll lol
Edit: I did vote on the poll as I would not have been able to see the results otherwise. If I could have seen results without voting, I would not have voted.

I don't really care so I voted for No. I find it funny(ironic perhaps) that you posted a poll about polls  Good one

Yeah, it's a general interest check and I thought it would help. If I put polls up, it's OK if you don't participate - I'd love to have a large sample size, but no-one will be obligated to take part.

How do you define "Everyday Preferences"?

Things like mayonnaise or ketchup, orange juice with or without pulp, eating the best thing first or last, or action films or comedy films. There are a few exceptions to this rule (chaos or order, one character or another, pop culture polls like Autobots or Decepticons) but if I run these polls and one comes up, I'll make it clear!
Edit: forgot to say but there would always be a neutral option on the polls too.

In my opinion, most polls incorporate either graduated options (e.g., "always", "mostly", "sometimes", "seldom", and "never"), or a boolean option stack (e.g., "A only", "B only", "Both A and B", and "Neither A nor B").

Hmm, that second arrangement might be pretty good for a poll format! Thanks for the idea.
(In game, there are people who vote for both things on separate accounts sometimes, as bad as that looks.)

There needs to be a “neither” option, too, I can’t stand mayonnaise or ketchup

I like doing random polls and things, so I answered “yes.”

There will absolutely be a neither option on all polls!

I kinda like taking polls but the results of these types don't really matter much to me. I am more interested in the results when they are done for the autism comunity instead of the general public. I thought you were asking about the general public polls instead of the 1s that get posted here.

I just want to see people's preferences and use the game's own poll-type events as a base for that. It's just for fun honestly.

General interest seems to be leaning in favour of yes, and that's great! I think I might just run them after all. Might do a test poll in the next few months if the current game has one.
