Am I The Only One That Sees Beauty In The Things That Others Do Not? (Would not fit on the title line above).
I mean... I see such creativity and beauty and really appreciate and love the things that most people reject. It makes me want to cry because others do not see what I see.
Take a look at this. These two have real potential. I love them because it is not about being perfect. It is about being there and doing your thing. They really have potential.
They are called "Twice As Nice."
The serious one sings beautifully. The cheerful one adds to the character of the scene and really brightens it up. I would love to hear the whole song and not just a short version as we hear here, and I know it is an old song from the 1950's which has come out a few times since then with various artists, but these two sum up what the song is about. Having fun and playing the part. And I don't care if the one is out of tune. She is giving it her all and that is what matters! That is where the beauty lies, and I really don't think these two should stop, because they make the day a happy one, and I am not saying that because it is not perfect. I am saying that because they were there and made the effort to perform and I would love to hear them again. I really would!
I am into narrow gauge model railways and several years ago I came across a narrow gauge locomotive that someone had made on Ebay. I do not have an account so I tried to get my brother to place a bid on it but he wouldn't. The loco was a creative effort of a beginner and was one that no one who wanted perfection would touch... But I saw the beauty of it. I was powerless as I watched it sell for less then the worth of it for its parts. I cried because I knew how much effort had gone into that loco. I saw the character of its creator and I really loved it as it was! And you could have given me the most perfect most professionally built model and I would gladly have swapped it for this creation, because my heart saw how beautiful and how special it was.

i see beauty, overwhelming beauty, in things other people ignore. i weep everytime i hear sir edward elgar's "pomp and circumstance no. 1" performed. because the music is so beautiful it overloads my brain's ability to comprehend it. they call that "stendahl's syndrome" btw.

I have never heard of Stendahl's syndrome.
Ah. I just looked it up. I think this is different. It is seeing beauty in things that are far from perfect but have a beauty of their own. (Yes, I cry when I see it so maybe you are right?)

i first heard of it in 1999 when it was a question on "who wants to be a millionaire." a lightbulb lit in my head when i googled it at the time, in the manner of "THIS IS MEEEE!!." FINALLY somebody GETS IT!!"

It is like when I see something which I love, I want to hold onto it and cherish it forever? Obviously one can't do this with an experience like hearing a song, but... Well... I have just listened to this song again and again! There is something about the way they sing that is beautiful somehow?

i can grok that. it'd be like that with the music that emotionally effects me like i described, but i get red, short of breath and am wheezing with emotion so i have to cut it off.

I find a lot of beauty in things that other people find ordinary. I find the song 'Because', by The Beatles to be very beautiful. It makes me cry sometimes. Most people think it's just an ordinary song.

There is something heavenly about the experiences... I will on rare occasions buy trains that others avoid for the sole reason that I feel sorry for them and I fall in love with them. I will not admit to doing this because most people do not understand.

i rescued a happy yellow musical back scratcher from a junk pile in the seattle goodwill store. i saw its "hand" sticking out forlornly from a bin full of junque [fancy junk], grimy and in need of TLC, i pulled it out of there, took it home, gave it a good back, and now [2021] it rests on a comfy pillow. this was in the year 2000.
Appreciation of beauty in all it’s various interactions . I get nervous if someone catches me staring . Have collected orphaned items that held their very own beauty.. and rarity . Just got alittle carried away .

I see beauty in so much of the world, and in things humans create as well. This world is a beautiful, beautiful place.

I certainly do. Here are some:
1) I used to like basements, particularly when I was little kid 2) I like some foods others don't like such as drinking half and half by itself, eating condensed milk by itself, etc 3) I like to wonder around the streets and explore by myself 4) I like going to college bookstores and compare different math and physics textbooks 5) I like Barns and Noble, particularly the combination of drinking steamed milk with cheesecake as well as reading som religious books
I am sure there are a lot more, but these are the ones that first came to mind
