I wasn't good at jump roping, but I can kind of do it. I can't continuously do it though, only for a few swings and then I mess up. lol

Not really.

I think if I tried jumping with a rope now I'd just end up hanging by my neck.

I could do the solo type very well, with my purple plastic jump rope.

I was average in the type where two people turn the rope, and I had to jump in.

I couldn't do double dutch.

We used to play a game called Jumpsies or Elastics.

I also had a Lemon Twist that I loved.

I could only do it slowly otherwise I would end up falling over.

I dunno. I probably haven't tried for nearly 30 years. But I do have a new skipping rope someone gave me as a gift a couple years ago & so could give it a shot and see sometime. It's probably pretty good exercise.

That is kind of how I did it. I would throw the rope over my head and step over it, but it could hardly be called skipping as I could not get my timing right to skip.

You can actually buy ropeless skipping ropes. They're basically just two handles and you pretend to jump the nonexistent rope. There's a counter on one of the handles so you can see how many jumps you've done.

jump rope is excellent exercise in general but i've never had the coordination to do it, i never could get both feet to consistently clear the rope and i'd trip and fall.

I could jump the rope if the rope was still. It is that the rope moves is where it is difficult.
