That is... of course, if there is a difference, as per a certain agent...

This pandemic has truly shown how hateful, and dumb, humans are worldwide, but even personally... virus hasn't gotten me so far, but humans? The pieces of sh*t already made a point of conducting daylight robbery (state-sanctioned, at least conventional thieves use their brains to steal), so I'm guessing being framed with murder or something is next if they think they can get away with worse lying...

It's funny, I was a misanthrope in my early teenage years, back when societal negligence was the worst... but recently they've been so busy at being horrid that I can suddenly understand why humans murder each other... that is, if they don't want to murder me first, as I'm sure they think I'll simply lay still and let them at it...

TRIGGER WARNING - SOME MAY FIND THIS VIDEO DISTRESSING

But it's true. Humans don't deserve Earth, and maybe these pandemics are nature's way of doing to humans what humans do to nature.

I don't see the point of all the suffering that life has to bring to either sentient or sentient and self-aware creatures. 8)

I find that people are a lot worse than germs. Germs just sit there and to nothing. People refuse to follow the Covid rules and regulations and they say snide remarks about the people who do follow the guidelines.

An unlivable environment is worse than either.

But between the two, humans are more likely that would actively and directly cause it.
So far, not much humans did to rectify this.

Germs won't do either of those two actions, except to simply be a part of an environment.

To me it's an unfair comparison.
Germs can afford to be apathethic of it's inhabitants and be limited to it's function and reactions -- humans don't.

But the world we live in so far made humans, in general, limited to this outdated survival mode mentality without fail-safes of it's own.

Except if and when they all wake up and realize the silly lives they're living, and stop agreeing to simply keep their stupid roles.

Humans could have easily stopped the Coronavirus pandemic at its beginning had they chosen to. In the name of personal freedom, they did everything possible to abet the spread. We have met the enemy etc.

The story is that the see see pooh knew that the virus was very contagious, locked down their cities, and let the infected fly out to various parts of the world.

I remember some people called those who wanted to close borders, xenophobes.
Dickheads.

Will we be prepared for the next pandemic?
I wouldn't bet on it. 8)

In fact, blaming China was a big part of the problem. Pusillanimous politicians!

It seems to me that people are worse than microbes, but like all this is not clear. People can kill for pleasure and torture other people for the same. But on the other hand, only humans have compassion

Humans are both the best and the worse (so the most diverse) kind of animals in this planet.

They can be omnivores who opt towards entirely plant based vegan, Jain lifestyles.

Or they can be murderous cannibals who don't care about anyone.

Most of us fall somewhere in the middle of the two extremes.

Germs are neither animal nor even plant. They are dangerous but hating them is like hating hurricanes/earthquakes. They're not evil, they're just bad/dangerous.

If you study military history you learn one amazing fact. Wars are deadly, not because they increase the number of people killed by people, but because wars increase the number of people killed by disease causing microbes.

Most of the deaths in most wars in all of history prior to 1900 were from disease, and not from combat.

More American Civil War soldiers died between battle of disease than died in battles. That despite how bloody the battles were.

Its only in twentieth century that humans were able to control microbes (via sanitation, medicine, etc) that humans got more proficient at killing other humans then microbes are ...at killing humans. :D

Sanctimony is not "compassion".
And it is addictive.
You have sanctimonious DHs who ignore the facts so they can satisfy their addiction.
Hitler knew the power of getting people to gang up on a group.

Human nature. :eew:
