It's not as critical as we thought it was 6-8 months ago as they've found that transmission via surfaces is a lot more difficult and uncommon than researchers were worried it was.

So, it's not nearly as important that you do it for the rest of this pandemic.. However, we are still doing it - better safe than sorry! There's a senior cancer patient in the household, so we're okay with using a few extra Lysol wipes & soap and water and a little time. We also haven't been grocery shopping very often at all, so we don't have to do it often.. like, my last big Costco shop was before Christmas lol so whenever my next one is we'll spend 45mins to an hour to disinfect everything. And for smaller shops it's maybe only 5-10mins and the cost of Lysol wipes or soap & water etc is pretty minimal.

I still do it for online groceries, because I don't know who handled them or delivered them. When I leave the house, I come home and disinfect myself by washing all my clothes including my coat, and having a long shower. I do this because I'd rather be safe than sorry, and I also live with an immunocompromised person.

I do online groceries shopping & other kind of shopping online, but at in-store grocery shopping, people still touch things.

I don't do in-store shopping, but yes the stuff that is delivered to me could have germs from other shoppers.

I don’t clean anymore, it was too much trouble for me, I been getting anxiety attacks & pain, I was crying too. I leave stuff out when I can for 3 days. I been taking my frozen meals out of the box, putting them in the freezer, then washing my hands. I been touching frozen meals with napkins, gloves or my hands then wash them.

I don't really wash anything unless the outside of it is going to touch my mouth, like an apple or something. I just make sure I wash my hands before and after I eat anything.

Sounds like you're still taking reasonable precautions. Don't stress too much about it - there's a lot less transmission by touching surfaces than they originally thought. Still a good practice to do what you're doing - just don't stress too much about it.
