Premise: Alcohol causes intoxication.
Procedure: Drop live specimens of the kingdom Animalia, the phylum Annelida, the class Clitellata, the order Opisthopora, and the suborder Lumbricina (the common, garden-variety earthworm) into 1000ml beakers filled with 98% pure ethyl alcohol.
Observations: In all 100 trials, no observable symptoms of intoxication were observed in the specimens. However, all specimens immediately ceased moving when immersed in the alcohol solution. Further examinations revealed that the cause of immobility was that the specimens had ceased living.
Conclusion: If you get drunk, you will not have worms.
This is an example of improper "science".
