I used to have a phobia of snow
From the ages of 19 to about 24, I reacted uncontrollably whenever snow was forecasted or it was snowing.
I believe it was triggered when I nearly slipped over when I was 19 on an unavoidable patch of ice and I heard people behind snickering at me. Then my anxiety made me believe that everyone was watching to see if I'd slip then they'll all point and laugh at me.
Also snow affected traffic and I worried about loved ones driving out in it.
And I hated seeing the ground covered in white stuff. I would panic if I couldn't see the grass or the concrete. I'm not sure why.
Snow often triggered outbursts; I'd fly up in a rage and scream and shout, upsetting everyone in my household. It was worse if I had work, because I was in walking distance so had no excuse not to go in but I felt like I was forced to walk out in it.
Before I was 19 I loved snow. When a snow day was declared, I was really happy having a surprise day off school and getting to play in the snow all day. In fact I would cry when it started to melt away.
Since about the age of 24 the phobia has eased and now I'm not afraid of it at all. I don't like the snow much and I prefer it not snowing, but if it does snow it doesn't send me into panic mode any more. I just deal with it like a normal person.
Has anyone else ever experienced a phobia of snow? Or if not, any other weather phobias?

I can't function when there's a blue sky with sunlight on snow.
I can't even do things in the house, with my curtains shut or glasses on.
It makes me want to be sick because of the glare (photophobia).
Snow brings back some very bad childhood memories but also good ones - as long as it's not sunny.
I hate having to shovel and clear snow.
I was supposed to take my car for service today but couldn't clear the snow by myself to get the car out.
(The snow was up to my knees).
It makes me feel helpless.
Also my dog got a fungal infection all over his belly because the snow has been so deep, his tummy gets wet.
That's costing a fortune in vet appointments, and he has to wear a cone.
But overall I think it's pretty at night or on cloudy days, if I don't have to be the homeowner.

I live in Canada. If I had a phobia of snow that would be a complete and total nightmare. In fact I'm usually more relaxed in the winter (after the holidays are over) than I am when it's warmer.
Life up here is weird. Sometimes in the winter we'll have a mild day where the temperature is slightly above freezing, and suddenly people start acting like it's July. I don't really like spring because it's too wet.
