A friend of mine, someone I felt understood me, and helped me to grow as a person, passed away yesterday. I know this post will do nothing, but I’m dealing with it very poorly. I feel immense guilt because I didn’t talk to him for 2 months because I got very busy, and I knew he had cancer. I did get to talk to him a week before he died some over text, but not a lot.

Thank you. I felt like he understood me in a way others didn’t, so now I feel a little more alone. Sometimes you just meet people and there’s an instant connection.

Indeed....I know what you mean.

It's hard for me to make "connections"-----and when I do, it's hard when that "connection" is lost.

I am sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose people we feel close to.

I’m so sorry you lost your friend. We have so few people who understand us…
