Though it's been 20 years, I am still traumatized by a bad experience with a roommate who could nasty and out of line

Some examples

1. She made it sound like her mobile number was the main phone number at the house. When my mom attempted to call me, my roommate yelled at my her on the phone one night before yelling at me about giving out her mobile number.

2. She had a fit because I kept pushing a chair into our kitchen table which was meant to be decorative

3. She agreed to let me sign the lease and then later threw a tantrum that I was only 20 and she was 26 and it was mad that we were not the same age and that she couldn't have her friends over for a drinking party.

4. She lied to me about having a birthday party that I was not invited to because the party was for people in her age group and for people 21 and up. She also told me this partying would go on all weekend. Instead, the house was empty and she went to a bar.

5. I got her a gift for Christmas which she opened before Christmas and didn't say "Thank you."

6. She mouthed off at the mail main who rang the doorbell in the day time. "Do you have any idea what time it is?"

Seems more sociopathic than merely "Karen-like".

What's the difference between sociopath and Karen?

A "Karen" is person with an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviors.

A "Sociopath" is a person with a psychopathic personality whose behavior is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.

Then if you say she is a sociopath, then maybe she would have also been narcissistic as well. However, it's a good thing I never disclosed my then "Autism/ PDD-NOS diagnosis," with her because she could have used that against me for sure.

Pathological narcissistic traits

1. She would manipulate me by abusing me emotionally and then she would go around telling people that I was "Crazy" or that I "Hated her guts."

2. The day after she pulled the birthday party stunt, my mom and sisters came over to talk with her. They said she not only kept trying to avoid them but had also tried to make herself seem like a caring roommate who didn't want to nag at me
