THX sound at beginning of movies. I remember it was a thing. I don't watch movies a whole lot anymore so I don't know if it's still a thing. But it sounded awesome every time. Especially in theaters.

I used to go to drive-ins back in the 60s.

Never actually used a drive in. But we used drive past them on cross country trips in the late sixties. Still remember driving past a drive in out in the country in California with a sign advertising its double feature: "Valley of the Dolls", and "Planet of the Apes".

I saw “Rosemary’s Baby” and “Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang” in a drive-in.

As I recall the last movie I saw at a dive-in was Conan the Barbarian in 1982.

The last movie I ever went to at a drive-in was "Closed for Winter".

Fell asleep before anyone else got there and damn near froze to death.

 That's a joke.

I once saw a video that showed the old ads at drive in theaters. Maybe it was because the ads were really old and not restored to their original brilliance, but the food sold at the concession stands looked barely edible. People who are afraid of clowns would really not like one of the countdowns to the start of the movie. :)

There's a drive in theater where I live but I don't remember ever going to it. My mother once said she took me there when I was really young, but I really don't remember. I must have fallen asleep in the back of the car or something. It must have been in the summer since I didn't freeze to death.

My memory of the drive in is going there as a kid with my parents.
First time i had boiled peanuts.
It was dark and no one told me you had to shell them first.
They tasted weird and horribly salty.
Soon I was vomiting all over the place and my mother was yelling at me for being stupid.
