Will CDs make a comeback decades from now like vinyl records have?

probably, there's something about slapping a disc in, etc.

No, they come in horrible plastic cases that fall apart. There's nothing cool about them. They don't have the same tactile experience of vinyl. It's just a small cheap disc in a cheap box. I have a whole shelf of them and they look awful... But I can't bring myself to throw them out. I want to hide them in some nice boxes. I keep them in case I don't have internet, but want to listen to music.

Will DVDs make a comeback, being so they're slowly trying to abolish them because they think that everyone loves Netflix and Disney+?

Are CD's not no longer available? I bought some about 5 years ago because I wanted something tangible with a design etc on it of the band I liked, not just the digital files. I was thinking to buy their next album in CD. No longer possible?

CDs are still sold in stores. The CD sections in stores are typically pretty small though.

Just about everything will make a comeback if people are nostalgic for it.

Just like people decades from will be nostalgic about how there used to be only two world wars. If anyone is left alive, that is.

I listen to Cds every once in a while but not often. It's easier just to listen to music on YouTube.

I love DVDs though.

I do feel frustrated that all the DVDs I want now are only available on Netflix or Disney+. It's totally unfair to those that don't have that and have a DVD player instead and a physical collection of a certain series of their favourite show. I think it should be illegal to suddenly stop selling DVD box sets halfway through a series. I'm a collector of DVDs, I love DVDs, you know where you are with DVDs, once you buy them you own them.

I'm so pissed off that I can't own the rest of the Simpsons seasons on box set, and the newest South Park episodes, and many other things that I like to watch.

I hate those rich twats that invented the modern internet.

I have to get my DVDs and players at thrift stores. I suppose you could go on Facebook marketplace and see if anyone is selling such things. But yes it's stupid. So many people still watch DVDs. They sell some here at grocery stores but it's just very limited selection.

Maybe someday something better will come other than watching things online.

If it is true that history repeats, AM radio and then 8 track tapes will have to make comebacks a couple decades before CDs make a comeback.

I see lots of CDs including complete boxed sets in the second hand shops.

I get that people's life situations can change, their music tastes can change, and that can lead to letting go of those CDs.
I am one of those people for whom having a physical, touchable, more-or-less-permanent, source of music and text is a big thing, more than a desire or preference, it is a need.
