Is there an easy way to move?

My lease is up in July. I want to leave it all behind. Is there a way to do that without having to relocate my things? Couldn't I just leave it in my apartment? Can't the landlord just deal with it? There's lots of people in need of a place. Couldn't he just move a female tenant in and she could have all my stuff?

Couldn't you call a charity to come and pick up everything?

My current strategy for an easy move is having become a minimalist.

One way to find out is to ask the landlord if they'd like all the furnishings in order to rent a furnished space. If they say no and you have to get everything out, post pics and give it away for free on craigslist/marketplace etc. If you leave anything behind, the landlord will have to pay to dispose of it and thus will likely keep your damage deposit for the time/labour/dump fees/junk removal service etc. So, if your damage deposit is minimal - cheaper than the removal fees - you may be willing to just give it up and walk away. You won't get a good reference from your landlord, though.
