Nationwide cell phone outage
Affected my bosses phone
Couldn’t get ahold of him
Drove to the job site
I did spot him.. but saw he was with the clients - who are annoying and have unreasonable expectations of a flooring installation job.. they want ~perfection out of cheap laminate w/o paying to level the floor
I’m not interested in f’ing around with crappy materials all day while picky old people pick every little thing apart - dudes; you bought crappy cheap flooring material and didn’t level your floor before installation - it’s as good as it gets.. removing it damages it, putting it back in damages it more. Nightmare. Not worth the few dollars to deal with - especially when I can blame the cell phone outage for inability to get ahold of my boss and just F off to the beach for the early afternoon.

Not yet - updated the passport thread. Got a ticket for an appointment date in my home city in early August. Cancelled my trip to the prairies - which is good.. because my flight out had already been cancelled by the airline. Lost $118 in cancellation costs. Assigned date w/ my appointment ticket is as early as they would give me a date before my date of travel so they can get my passport printed for me in time to travel. Should work out fine. Now we just have to figure out how we're all getting downtown to the cruise ship terminal - maybe we'll book a limo or two or a party bus ? Cheaper than taxis/ubers or parking downtown for 2 weeks.

I've done airport limos before and yes, they're cheaper than Uber for a group.

I guess you could book one and then if they don't show up or something screws up, you get one of the big Ubers.

I heard the passport offices were closed by Rogers.

How big of Ubers do they have where you live?

Somehow I doubt there’s an Uber that seats 12+ passengers. (At least 12 in our party - I’m not sure if there are more or not but those are the ones I know are coming.)

I meant to say get a couple of the big Ubers! Whoops!

Not sure what time of day the drive would be, but chances are it’s $100 per taxi/Uber, more if it’s at a peak Uber pricing time. With luggage we might need 4 or so of them I dunno - maybe 5?

Might be able to get an SUV limo or party bus to drop us off for less $.

For sure it would be cheaper.
I'd start enquiring so you have an idea of the cost and availability.

Lol, this might have saved me from getting scammed (I'll explain once I confirm it's a scam). That moment you have to reconsider that maybe you are a main character after all and if so, it's time to f*****g act like it.

But seriously, I only know about this because my bank's website had problems.

I can't stand Rogers and don't use any of their stuff.

We had a power cut today instead lol.

Some of my neighbours had no power or internet for the day.

I'm really worried that I won't be able to get my money out for groceries this week. Humans needs to stop being so dependent on technology. Or at least have a back plan of some kind. But most humans can't bother to wear masks during a pandemic, prevent mass murder or even pick up after their own dogs, so like that's ever going to happen.
